Today's post is going to be a review on the well-loved & popular eyeshadow palette I received in my Beauty Bay haul and that is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette! I used this for the first time on Saturday night and holy shit I am in love! I now understand the hype around this palette! If you would like to see swatches and read more of why I love this palette, then please keep on reading! 🙂
Let's just start with how bloody gorgeous the shades in this palette are! There are so many shades that can be worn as just an everyday makeup look or going out makeup look! As I said before, I used this palette on Saturday night when I went out with friends (I didn't get a photo as the lighting was way to dark) and the pigmentation is phenomenal! There was a little bit of fallout, especially with the shade 'Cyprus Umber' which is a gorgeous chocolate-brown shade but it was easy to get rid of! I also found that with the shade 'Primavera' which is a gorgeous champagne shimmer shade, you have to wet your brush before applying it as the shade hardly showed up when it was by itself, but that isn't a huge problem for me as I tend to wet my brush with shades like that anyway.
When swatching the shades, some didn't really show up on my skin like the shades 'Tempera', 'Primavera' and 'Vermeer' which are all very light shades and the shade 'Red Ochre' I had to swatch twice, but that might be because I just suck at swatching, heh.
The shades I used for Saturday nights look were 'Burnt Orange', 'Cyprus Umber', 'Realgar' and 'Primavera' and I absolutely loved how well the shades went together and how well they all blended! Apart from the little fallout with 'Cyprus Umber', all shades applied really nicely and the pigmentation was just amazing! You only need a small amount of product on your brush because of how pigmented they are! Also, 'Primavera' is an amazing shade to put onto your inner corner!
I'll definitely recreate the look I did for Saturday night and I can't wait to play around with the other shades and create many more looks!
The shades I love most are: 'Realgar', 'Burnt Orange', 'Venetian Red', 'Tempera' and 'Primavera'.
Overall, I freaking love this palette! It's definitely my favourite palette in my collection and I highly recommend you getting it if you haven't already! The shades, pigmentation and blend-ability of this palette is definitely worth the money!
So that is it for this post, I know it's not very long but there's not much more I can say except how much I love and highly recommend getting this palette! Keep an eye out for future looks I'll be creating using this palette!
