My Dream Beauty Room

Hey Guys!

I am so excited to be writing this post because I get to share what my dream beauty room would look like! Please note that all photos are from Pinterest and none are mine.
If you would like to see what my dream beauty room would look like, then please keep on reading. 🙂

I’ll start off with my makeup vanity. The vanity I would love to have is quite popular, it’s a desk that has two sets of 5 drawers on each side. The mirror would be a little bigger than the one in the photo but basically the same, with lights all around it. Just your basic makeup vanity that I am sure you have all seen or own.
The chair I would love is an oval-shaped chair because apparently they are super comfortable and look how cute they are!?

On both sides of my vanity, I would have makeup storage like the photo above with all my day-to-day makeup that I wear on a daily basis. I don’t want much makeup on my vanity so just two makeup storage drawers would be perfect!

I would also have a plant on my vanity because I just love the way it looks and plants always make a room feel more homely.
That’s all I would have on my vanity. Not much I know but I prefer to have room and make as much mess with products being out when I do my makeup, than have no room at all, if that makes sense?

Moving along to the drawers in my vanity. I would obviously have a lot more makeup than I do now to make my drawers how I want them (see photo above). In one drawer, I’ll have all my lipsticks (liquid and normal) in lipstick storage compartments. In another drawer, I’ll have makeup dividers and have all my powders or foundations, etc.
The same will go for my blushes, mascara, eyeliners, etc.
If I have drawers free, I’d make them for skincare or haircare/beauty tools.

I’ve always wanted shelves like the photos above for my beauty room. Both would be beside my vanity, one on one side, the other on the other side.

Left Shelf:
I’d use that shelf for exactly what that photo has used it for. I think it’s perfect to hold my brushes (I have a lot of brushes) because of the way it’s designed! The brush holders however, would be different.

I have recently become obsessed with reusing glass jars and turning them into cute little makeup brush holders! At the moment I have black glass jars with little decor rocks to hold my brushes but the brush holders in the above photo would look perfect in my dream beauty room!

Right Shelf:
The right shelf in the photo showing what shelves I want in my beauty room will be used for my eyeshadow palettes and perfume. I have heaps of eyeshadow palettes now so imagine how many I would have if I ever moved into a house and made my little beauty room? The shelf would be perfect for displaying them and easy for me to reach as well.

I think these eyeshadow palette holders look absolutely adorable and would definitely use them to hold my palettes on the shelf! However, I wouldn’t have them the color of gold, I’d either buy a white holder or paint it white myself.

Since I have a massive perfume collection, I’ll need somewhere to put them! I think the marble glass tray in the above photo would look gorgeous on the shelf with all my perfumes on it!
Another thing I’ll add to this shelf if there is room, is another small plant to add a bit of color and make it look extra cute!

This is another shelf I would add to my beauty room! I’d think it would be cute in a corner with all my beauty books on it! I own quite a lot of beauty books and style/fashion books and I’ve always wanted a shelf like this to display them! I’d also add more little plants and my salt lamp, because I cannot live without it and think it would be perfect on this shelf!

Since I am a blogger (duh), I’d need somewhere to actually blog. I know some people prefer to do their blogging in another room but I’ve always thought setting up my little computer desk in my beauty room would be perfect! I love being surrounded by my makeup, especially when I blog so it was only natural to add a little blogging space.

The desk I want for my blogging desk is pretty much the same desk that’s in the photo above. The two drawers would be for my stationary books that I use to write down my blog ideas, my pens and all that nice stuff! Again, I wouldn’t want the top of my desk be to crowded. I of course, would need my computer to start off with.

Candles. I would 100% have candles on my desk where I blog. I always need to burn one when I am writing up a post or catching up on my emails, it relaxes me and well, who doesn’t like candles?
I’d also have plants (yes, I am quite a plant person) and my daily diary where I set my goals for the day. That’s basically all I’d have on my work desk.

The wall behind my desk, I would add framed quotes and just simple pictures like the framed plant picture in the photo above.
I love quotes and there’s something about having a framed quote(s) to look at when working really moves me. I also just think framed plant pictures look gorgeous and can make any room look more stunning.

For the lighting, I think these mirror pendant lights are absolutely gorgeous and would look perfect in my beauty room. You can check out other pendant lights here.
I love the style of them and think it would give my beauty room that perfect little touch! I mean, how can you not love these?!

However, because these look quite small, it may not give much light to the room so another idea I love (with the marble, mirror lights as well) would be having these in a corner just to make the room light up more. These are just room dividers that are filled with light strewn branches tangled in strings of twinkling lights. I think it would give my beauty room that beautiful touch of light. A girl can dream, right?

Okay, now that both desks are done and the shelves are in place, I would add a fluffy, grey or white rug to the middle of my beauty room to make it more cosy and because I love fluffy rugs, heh. (I couldn’t find a white/grey fluffy rug photo that looks like what I had in mind)

And that, my friends, is what my dream beauty room would have/look like!

  1. I’ve never thought too much of what my dream beauty room would look like – but I think if I ever had the chance to design one I’d use this post because I loved everything! I think I’d like to look into reusing glass jars as brush holders because that’s such a cute idea!

  2. This sounds like a great beauty room! I wish I could have one. For now I just have to settle with doing my makeup in the bathroom. I also admire you for being such a plant girl! I cannot take care of plans to save my life. Only recently have I bought a little string of pearls. It’s a succulent so it doesn’t need a lot of water or looking after but I still feel like it’s slowly dying. I guess it’s just not for me.

    1. Thank you!! I haven’t got a beauty room yet but I do have an office desk in my room with a white chair with my makeup brushes and mirror on top with a plant and a drawer underneath for the rest of my makeup. It’s not bad but I’d love to have a whole beauty room! x

    1. I’m quite fussy when it comes to my makeup drawers so they’re always quite clean/organised! My desk on the other hand is what gets messy the most because of all the makeup that falls onto it 😂 I swear I clean it everyday! x

  3. So pretty. I have seen some of this on pinterest also and have been looking for pieces to do this for my beauty room. I love the mirror so much and the chair just ties it all together. Simple, yet chic and modern. 😍
