Review: Sleek Makeup Solstice Highlighting Palette

Hey Guys!

Today I have another review for you and I am super excited to share my thoughts on this particular product! If you know me, you will know I love highlights and everything glowy! Today’s product that I’ll be reviewing for you is the Sleek Makeup Solstice Highlighting Palette! You would have seen all the rage about it over the internet because guys, it’s THAT freaking amazing!

First, let’s talk about the packaging. The highlight comes in a small, but not too small, gold shiny compact with the brands name embedded on the front. I absolutely love it and I think that was actually what made me really need this highlight palette in the first place. It’s the perfect size to take travelling as well!

Inside the compact there are 4 amazing sized highlight shades and a small little brush that comes with the palette. The shades are Ecliptic, Hemisphere, Subsolar and Equinox. I completely forgot to take a photo but on the back of the compact, the shade names are there which I think is amazing!

Shades top to bottom – Ecliptic, Hemisphere, Subsolar and Equinox.

Ecliptic is actually a smooth gel like texture and Sleek says it’s an amazing shade to highlight the brow bone. I do agree with that! The shade is actually quite nice for a gel like texture and is quite pigmented as well. I have tried it on my cheek bones but it didn’t look as nice as when I apply it to my brow bone.

Hemisphere is a purple-pink shade with a lot of shimmer, but the shimmer isn’t noticeable when you apply it. Sleek says this shade is amazing to highlight the cheek bones with. I like to mix this shade with Equinox and apply it to my cheek bones as I think it stands out a lot more than just applying Hemisphere by itself. But that’s just my opinion.

Subsolar is a beautiful gold/yellow shade which is perfect for highlighting down the bridge of your nose as it doesn’t have much of a shimmer effect to it like Hemisphere. I like to apply this shade to my cupids bow as well.

Equinox is the last shade in the palette which is another shimmer shade like Hemisphere. It’s a beautiful peach-orange shade and Sleek says it’s amazing to highlight the cupids bow with. I have tried it on my cupids bow but prefer Subsolar better. As I mentioned before, I love mixing this shade with Hemisphere to add more of a pop to my cheek bones.

Overall, I love, love, love this highlighting palette! It’s my favorite drugstore highlight and I am yet to find another one to beat it! Will 100% repurchase!

So that concludes my review post on the Sleek highlighting palette, if you haven’t got your hands on it yet but want to, DO IT! You will not regret it.
